The Veil’s Protection Root Roast
Satvik • Vegan • Grounding & Deep
As the "Veil" thins and the air cools, we return to the deep earth. This recipe uses mineral-rich vegetables to keep you anchored, centered, and energetically protected.
Prep time: 15 mins | Cook time: 35 mins | Serves: 2-4
The Alchemical Ingredients
3 medium Beets: Peeled and cubed (Ancestral Bloodline/Strength).
1/2 small Purple Cabbage: Sliced into thick ribbons (Crown Protection).
1/4 cup Walnuts: Halves or pieces (Wisdom & Brain Health).
2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar: (Tangy Transformation).
1 tbsp Olive Oil: (Smooth Transitions).
Pinch of Dried Thyme: (Time & Memory).
Culinary Instructions
Roast: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the cubed beets in olive oil and thyme. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
Combine: Add the sliced cabbage and walnuts to the tray. Drizzle with half of the balsamic vinegar.
Finish: Roast for another 15 minutes until the cabbage is tender and the beets are caramelized.
Glaze: Before serving, drizzle the remaining balsamic vinegar over the hot vegetables to brighten the earthy flavors.
The Kitchen Sadhana (Ritual)
As the vegetables roast in the dark heat of the oven, take a moment to honor your ancestors. Visualize their strength flowing from the roots of the earth into the food. As you eat, imagine yourself being shielded by a deep, protective violet light.
In the Cosmic Kitchen, we don’t just cook; we practice Sadhana—the art of turning a daily task into a dedicated spiritual ritual. As you prepare this meal, you are not just a chef; you are the alchemist of your own energy, aligning your body with the frequency of the stars.
Cosmic Kitchen Safety Note
While these recipes are designed to nourish the spirit, please honor your physical vessel. Always substitute ingredients to suit your specific allergies or sensitivities. If you are under the care of a physician or have severe food allergies, consult with them before making significant dietary changes.
Quick Tips for Allergy Substitutions
Nut Allergies: Swap walnuts, almonds, or cashews for sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds (pepitas).
Seed Allergies: Swap sesame seeds or pumpkin seeds for hemp hearts (if tolerated) or simply omit them and add a bit of shredded coconut for texture.
Gluten Sensitivities: Most of these recipes are naturally gluten-free, but for those using grains, suggest certified gluten-free oats or quinoa.
Coconut Allergies: If a recipe calls for coconut milk, suggest cashew cream (if no nut allergy) or oat milk for a similar creamy texture.
